Shaheed Dweep, Sept. 22: In continuation of the war against drugs, the team of Police Station Shaheed Dweep has arrested one accused under NDPS Act 1985 with a recovery of 02 Nos. Cannabis (Ganja) Plants.

On 19/09/2023, a credible information was received from an informer that a person namely Rahul Das has cultivated some Cannabis Plants.

Port Blair, Sept. 22: The Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) has welcomed the introduction of the Women's Reservation Bill in the Parliament, emphasizing the importance of rising above politics and standing together on issues of national importance.

Port Blair, Sept. 22: The Andaman & Nicobar ASHA Workers Union has postponed the proposed agitation in front of the Directorate of Health Services today (22.09.2023) following an assurance given by the Health Department officials that the demands raised by the Union will be considered favourably.

A large number of ASHA Workers assembled in front of the Directorate of Health Services at Port Blair today (22.09.2023) afternoon.  A delegation of A & N ASHA Workers Union comprising Anbumalar, General Secretary, Sabita Banu, Treasurer, Margrat, Joint Secretary, Salma Bibi and K. Dhanamma, Executive Committee Members along with B. Chandrachoodan, General Secretary, CITU A&N State Committee held discussion with the Programme Officer, National Health Mission of Health Department on the demands raised by the Union. 

Port Blair, Sept. 22: After a month long Coaching Camp, the A&N Football team consisting of 22 players squad with 01 Manager, 01 Head Coach and 01 Physiotherapists today left for U-14, Sub-Junior Boy's National Football Championship 2023-24 to be held at Ananthapuram, Andhra Pradesh from 26th September to 2nd October 2023. The Championship is being organised by All India Football Federation.
